There is a belief across India, that girls are the Lakshmi of the house. This painting is about little Lakshmi getting ready to be born in the form of a young girl with a trisomy that has 47 chromosomes, an extra chromosome. Her little heart is full of richness. Not material wealth but the wealth of love and abundance of life. She is receiving farewell kisses from her friends of the spiritual world. She is getting ready to be born and bless the family, the society and the world.
